Live Day Reflection

Reflection Of The Live Day
''Trapstar''

Summerise Your Role:
My role was to act as a presenter with Shriya, within my role today was to make sure that the guests Govind and Erisa knew what they were doing and felt comfortable with the whole setting. Before doing practice runs I made sure that Govind knew what questions to ask and had an idea of what to answer with and Shriya done the same thing with Erisa. As a presenter I had to make sure the main points got across when filming which was about the music video we had previously made. I also had to make sure throughout the day I worked alongside with Keren because we had to make sure the answers the were correct to the answers we had on the graphics. I also had to work with the director making sure everything was right and that we dud not run over time. So overall within my role today I worked with everyone from lighting to sound mixer and so on. I also had to make sure in my role I could take orders from the floor manager this was making sure I looked into the right camera and knew if I had to speed up or slow down.

What difficulties did you have:
Overall the only difficulty I had was making sure I stuck to the time limit because we found out that in the rehearsals we always went over on time because me and Shriya would talk for too long. I also found it difficult to make sure I followed the script because the script is what the director took queues from and also whilst sticking to the queues I had to keep looking at raees to see about timing and to see where I need to look at the different cameras.

What solutions did you find for these problems:
The solution I found to the look at the cameras was as I spoke I just knew to look were because were we had been practising all day I knew by the end when I had to look and raaes sometimes would say it loud whilst the VT is playing. I also found it easier to just refer to the script so that way I could always get the lines right.

What skills do you think you have gained:
I feel after the whole live day and the rehearsals leading up to it I have gained skills in communicating with others which was needed when speaking to the rest of the crew members and also making sure that when Tyra, Govind and Erisa came felt okay and confident. I also feel I have gained leadership skills in a way because if I did not act as a leader when the guests came they probably would not be as confident when they were on set.
What advice would you give to someone about to undertake your role in a live studio show?
I would give someone else who would want to take my role to make sure the whole time on set they are constantly referring back to the script because its important so the ques are right also I would advice them to keep calm cause that way the conversation will flow more easily without mistakes, this can help for if someone messes up with a line or something technical messes up that they should be able to get it back together without making it obvious.
How could you expand your role:
I would expand my role by makig that not only I followed my own duties and skill ut als done alot more tp help out with crew memers for example it is important that if someone on the production crew needed help I should make it easier for them and assit them when necessary because this will come under duties rather than skills for examplp team work and aking sure something gets done to a near by proffesional standards

Costume, Hair & Make Up

Make Up
This task involved me trying different make up shades and different looks for example plain, outrageous and so on. I had to try these different style of make up because I had to see what would go best with the lighting, plus most of the time wearing simple make up on set with lighting can make your face look very drained out. Underneath is my experiment of different lipstick colours, this was my preparation before trying my full face make up with the lighting. I also wanted to have a look at some different make up styles on the internet to get some influences.

Experimenting: Different lip tones
Underneath shows me experimenting with different lip tones before trying different make up tones.
Pink Lip Tone
Red Lip Tone
The lip tone towards the left looks very settle and looks almost natural so perhaps may not look very strong once the lights are on however the red lip tone towards the right looks very strong and the lighting may bring it out more.

Brown Lip Tone
Light pink Lip Tone
The lip tone towards the left looks very smart and almost very natural which may not go with the young feel and theme the lip colour towards the right looks very outrageous and does not compliment my skin tone, this could look much lighter with the lights on.

The last lip colour I have gone for is just a clear lip-gloss, the lip gloss look will not go well with the lighting because when you wear lip-gloss the lights make it run down your lips and it can also just look too shiny and be a distraction to the viewers.
