Production Meeting Reflection 1

Production Meeting Reflection 1

The production meeting was run like a formal meeting that working class people would use to share idea's and so on. The production meeting started off with miss giving out the reflecting sheets and before getting each individual to talk about their unique idea we sat down as a group and spoke about the brief was and the specific aspects we all have to include in our idea's. For example the brief wanted a Music Magazine show that was aimed towards 14-20 year olds which instantly shows that the show we would be making would contain elements that will be engaging for the younger generation rather than the show being formal because then it would not relate to the brief. The reason it would not make sense is because young people would not find something formal interesting.

After discussing the brief and how we would bring our whole concept together to make it suitably to the brief we went one one by one to talk about our own idea's and in a way convince the rest of the class to like my idea to get them to use my idea. Although the production was suppose to be formed as a meeting each person was given the opportunity to present their idea's through their bloggers. Whilst each person was presenting their idea's the rest of the class was filling out their feedback sheets this was for everyone to remember all the different idea's and maybe see about how they can combine each idea. Once each person finished derlibrating their idea's it was the time for the rest of the class to ask questions.

The groups response to my idea was good, it seemed like they liked my idea but still liked their own idea's more. Shriya said she liked the overall concept of the urban idea partly because she had a simular idea. After I presented my idea no one was confused with what I was talking about apart from Keren who asked how I would get the audience involved in my show and I answered her question with the fact I want the audience to always be able to tweet and for the presenters to show and read some tweets from viewers.

I voted for Shriya's idea 'Strapstar' mainly because her overall idea is very simular to mine  I very much like the idea of having the studio look like the t4 set studio. I also love the idea of making the overall theme and setting urban because I believe it is very important to what the set design looks like. I liked that she brought the clothing and setting and presentatio  style all together because I know as a young teenagers the first thing I look at it is what the overall show looks like for example something like the one show has a very boring and plan set design which is why I would not watch it.

I believe the whole idea of the urban theme relates to the brief of the age range because the theme urban pretty much will be engaging for the younger generation. I also believe the use of the pervious music video's being made getting a part of the show relates to the music side of the brief and the quiz relates to the magazine brief side.

Overall I think Shriya could of developed her idea by just making sure she knew exactly what she wanted because as she presented it, it was abit everywhere. The only way Shriya could of develop her idea is by maybe having a structure of everything and made certain things more specfic for example the clothing instead of just saying what she wanted she could have shown a picture of maybe someone she got inspiration from so it made it more visual to the rest of the class.

The other idea's I would like to see incoperate would be Alysia's idea of the the show being set in two different places for example one in the main studio which will be in the class room and the other location which would be the half way bit outside, I like that Alysia wanted it to seem like the presenter in the hall way would be almost having a interview with the guests and then after the camera would follow them into the main studio.
