Costume: Trying Different Outfits

In this document shows the different outfits I tried on with the lighting. This was to give me an idea of what outfits would go better with the lighting.

Costume 1:  The costume below shows my first outfit choice, I choose to see what this outfit would look like because it is very casual, so I thought it would be nice to see what it looks like with the colouring and it can also help give off an impression that the show will be very relaxed and casual.

Costume 2: This costume below shows my second costume choice, I decided to try something very colourful and take inspiration from the leggings Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and Rihanna wear because they look very trendy and with a black backdrop they will stand out on the lights. I decided to try this outfit with the lights to see if the colour light compliments the leggings.

Costume 3: This costume below is my third choice of costume, I decided to try this costume because the black shiny leggins are in fashion and the gold trainers go with the show's ident being gold, white and black. I also felt the white shirt and black leggings look sophisticated and by wearing trainers with them the outfit would look more urban which then links back to the theme. I also wanted to see how the white short would go up against the lighting, i did not want the white top to make me look white so it was important that I tried it with the lighting.

Costume 3: The next outfit that I tried was another outfit involving patterned leggings but these leggings are more dark and I wanted to see how they would go with the light because if the lighting made them look darker it would not make sense to wear them because the backdrop for the live day would be black. I also feel the leggings are very commercial and stand out because of the bold print they will also support the theme of urban.

Costume 3: The next outfit I tried was a very plain outfit and I wanted to try this because I thought by wearing something plain will compliment the set because were the set is going to be filled with lots of different props if I was to wear something bold as well it could look a bit to much and very crazy and that is not what we wanted to go for especially because the show is more like a magazine show.

My Final Costume Choice:

The costume below shows the outfit that I will be wearing for the live day and this is my reasoning for my choice. I have chose to wear this outfit because the blazer is very high in fashion around young people and the shiny leggings look smart/sophisticated and by wearing trainers with the outfit makes it look more commercial and urban which goes with the theme. The outfit also compliments the shows ident because the ident is black, gold and white.
