Mode Of Address
This week I have had to look at the different Modes of address that could be used and give reasoning why they would work and why not. So me and Shriya (presenter) discussed how we wanted to portray ourselves on camera and what mode of address what work best with the theme, set up and the type of show it is for example making sure the mode of address fitted the brief which was to be aimed at 14-21 year old.

The whole point of planning how we spoke on camera was so that when it came to filming the live day me and Shriya knew what was acceptable of us and what was not for example looking back the ghetto/street talk was not acceptable because we don't want the show to influence young people talk rudely.

Once talking about how we wanted to come across on camera Shriya and I decided to film ourselves do the same intro line but to various of modes of address this was so we could watch it back and see what we thought would be best. We decided to try 8 different modes of address and then to analyse each one briefly. The 8 modes of address we decided to look at and film ourselves doing were:
-Aggressive
-Serious
-Funny
-Sarcastic
-Ghetto/Street
-Unclear
-Informal
-Crazy

After we had watched all the video's back me and Shriya came up with four questions to answer for each video these were: Did we like it? Could it work? Why might it not work? Would we be using it? These questions helped us understand what is expected of us when presenting our show 'Trapstar' and whilst looking back on the video's we always had to refer it back to what the brief wanted. Underneath shows all the different modes of addresses we covered with some analysis as well.
