Production Meeting Reflection 4
Summerise the key points you made this week within you role:
My first main role this week was to make sure I worked with Shriya my co-presenter and Sam the director to make sure the final dialogue script with the changes that the director said had to be changed for example the Tyra interview because she was not longer doing the live day, she was only doing the pre-recorded interview. My other role that I had to complete this week was my costume, hair and make up this involved in bringing in different costumes to try on with the lighting, I also had to try different hair styles and make up tones. This was important because what I wear for the show has to go with the theme, compliment the lights and also engage the younger generation.
The groups response to what I had done this week was good, they all supported what I was doing and the floor manager helped set up the lights for me so I could try my different costumes. The group's response to the script was mainly them asking questions with what was going on where and when because they then had to complete their own scripts from what is on the main dialogue script.
Overall I think the whole costume experimenting was very successful because it helped me and Shriya understand what colours go with what lighting and more importantly what goes with us and our personalities. The whole lesson of us trying on our different outfits was successful overall because me and Shriya got to exchange idea's the whole crew members were watching and gave feedback on what they personally liked. The whole point of us trying on the costumes were for us to see what we wanted to wear for the live day but other things came out of it for example we realised the lights get very hot so it would make more sense to wear less layers and so on.
I think I need to work on developing my whole idea of costume and hair and say how and why I was influenced. I also have to decide what costume and hair I will be doing. I need to work on doing my make-up in the lighting to see what shades go best with what light and more importantly what look I would be going for.
This week I worked closely with Sam the director and Shriya when finishing the script and it was affective because it meant we got it done faster and we all understood what was going on which is important because if we wasn't doing it together we may miss understand what was said and so forth. I also worked very closely with my peer Shriya who is also a presenter when we was doing the whole costume, hair and make up and this was very successful because we both helped each other out on choosing different outfits and we also both gave our true opinion which helped me also decide with the outfit I chose in the end. The last reason why it was affective working with Shriya was because we both got to see what one and another was going to wear and could see if what we wanted to wear had any links because if our outfits did not go it would look stupid.
My main fear is when I'm on set, if I forget my line because if I forgot my line it could put the crew off time especially for Keren who is taking signals from the lines I am suppose to be saying. The last fear I have is if I start to panic when raees tells me to speed up the process because it could put me off and I could start mumbling.
