Production Meeting Reflection 2

Summarise the key points you made this week within your role

This week at the production meeting I was not there however, Shriya spoke on behalf of me because we are both the presenters but my role this week was to help Sam the director and Billy the mixer to help create a timed scripts this included all the timings and ques for when certain VT's come in and out this is also to help the running order making sure we have set times for each part i.e for the introduction we only 2minuits. The main reason for doing the timed script with the director and mixer was so we could all decide what we would be including in the show and when it would be shown and how long for. The whole idea of giving each section a set time was to make sure we filled up the whole 20minuits for the show.

I then also started writing up mine and Shriya's script for the show independently, my role was to write up the first 10minuits of the script and Shriya would do the follow up. I only got through to doing up to introducing the first VT being the music video by Shriya and Sam this was because I had to make sure that I thought about the Mode of Address and the timings for each part.

What was the groups response to your idea's/progress? 
Well the group did not respond to my idea's/progress as I could not attend the production meeting however I watched the video and saw the feedback Shriya got and she is my co-presenter so I will talk about the groups response to her seeing as we both have to take on board all their comments/advice. They all seemed supportive throughout the video and suggested to Shriya that we should do samples of our hair and makeup the following week, this was so the set designer could get a feel of how we are going to be dressing and could then set the theme around that, it is important that what me and Shriya are wearing compliments the set. The group also suggested that Shriya and I should collaborate with the lighting team as this would help with hair and make up and see what goes better for example it would not make sense to have smokey eyes and the lighting to be very dark because we will look scary. So the whole point was to see what make up would go with the lighting.

What has been successful this week? 

Overall this week the timed script was successful because we assisted Sam with the running order so this was helpful for the rest of the group so then they could start working from that. Also me starting the script was successful because Shriya then understood the mode of address we were going for and it meant that Shriya could do her half without me. Also the start up of script was successful because although I didn't do much I still gave it to Sam(Director) which then helped him start his next task.  

What do you need to change or develop and why?

Overall I don't really need to change anything I just need to develop mine and Shriya first half of the script making sure it goes with our mode of address and also fits the theme of the show. I also just need to clean up the writing making sure everything makes sense and runs smoothly.

What do you intend to do next week?

Me and Shriya has decided to start our Mode of address next week this is so we can make sure the script is on the same address as what we said. This means we will record ourselves doing lots of different modes of address that we may won't to try and see if it would work with our script and after that we would re-film our self with the chosen mode of address. I think me and Shriya have started gathering idea's together with some modes of addresses we can try and these are Funny/Humorous, Street/Urban and Crazy/over the top.

How did you work with your hierarchical peers this week? Was it effective?

I worked with Sam and Billy this week to help create the timed script and of course because Sam is in charge because he is the Director we just assisted him although we all still gave in our idea's and opinions and this was affective because it was good because the idea picked was from Shriya so she knew what concepts she wanted in the show. The reason working with the Director and Mixer was effective was because it made the overall show more exciting because by having more than one persons input gives lots of different idea's and an overall exciting show.
